My name is Dr Yasin Rehman. I hold a doctorate from the University of Oxford and am writing to you as the Workers Party candidate for Luton South and South Bedfordshire. As a proud working-class resident of Luton, I am dedicated to serving our local community and country. My commitment to politics is driven by the desire to represent the British working class at all levels.
I am standing for the Workers Part of Great Britain to be a strong voice for the people of Luton, advocating for their needs and concerns locally, nationally, and internationally. I strongly desire to serve the British people and believe I must do better for my local community and country. I take this responsibility seriously, and I would like to give back.
Ending the genocide in Gaza
We are advocating for global peace and justice and recognising Palestine as a State for the Palestinian people.
Affordable housing
We ensure access to decent, cheap, and secure housing for all.
Rebuilding the local industry infrastructure
I want local jobs for local people, so I will ensure that our young people and those not in employment have access to relevant support.
Education for all
Anyone wanting their first degree can do so without worrying about tuition fees.
Crime and public safety
Comprehensive education and support plan to reduce issues such as knife crime, drugs-related and gang culture
Health and Wellbeing
- A free and comprehensive healthcare system with no waiting lists.
- I want every family to have easy access to cheap and nutritious food.
- Care for elderly relatives in their households

With our Luton town football cub moving from non-league to the premier league, I want to ensure it remains the “people’s game” once again!
